We are honoured to have received a proclamation from Don Iveson, Mayor of the City of Edmonton, officially proclaiming October 2017 as RVT Month in Alberta’s capital.

The official proclamation reads:

AND WHEREAS, RVTs must have expertise in anesthesia, radiology, nutrition, diagnostic testing, and many other areas to succeed in their roles;

AND WHEREAS, together, the  Alberta Veterinary Technologist Association and the Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada (RVTTC) are working to recognize the exceptional work of RVTs;

AND WHEREAS, by providing care to Edmontonians’ furry, feathered, and reptilian friends, RVTs are helping to make our city a happier and healthier place;

THEREFORE, I, Mayor Don Iveson, do hereby proclaim October 2017 “Registered Veterinary Technician Month” in Edmonton, Alberta’s Capital City. Dated this 1st day of October, 2017.
