Communication & Advocacy in Veterinary Clinic Practice

Date:    Mar. 27, 2026 - Mar. 28, 2026
Time:    8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. MST

Effective communication is at the heart of every successful veterinary practice.

Whether navigating emotionally charged client interactions, supporting colleagues through challenging cases, or advocating for patient needs, veterinary teams rely on clear, compassionate and confident communication every day.

Communication and Advocacy in Veterinary Clinic Practice is a specialized, skills-focused course developed by the ABVMA in partnership with the ABVTA and delivered exclusively for the veterinary profession. Designed and created by NAIT, this course is not open to the public – it is tailored specifically to the realities, pressures and responsibilities of modern veterinary clinical work, and is open to veterinarians, veterinary technologists and practice staff.

This immersive two-day learning experience equips participants with practical strategies to manage conflict, strengthen workplace relationships, enhance client communication, and advocate effectively for both patients and teams.

The first course will be in person, at NAIT’s Main Campus in Edmonton, and has been approved for 16 hours of CPD credit by the ABVMA.

Date: Mar. 27, 2026 - Mar. 28, 2026
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. MST

Cost: $400.00 +GST
