Territory Sales Manager, Alberta

We represent a small, select group of partners to maximize each company’s share of voice to the market.

 

General Summary:

 

Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively promoting Vetrex and its client accounts.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

 

·       Promotes/sells/secures business from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.

·       Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

 

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

·       Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for Vetrex.

·       Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers, as well as email and mail communications as necessary.

·       Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.

·       Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

·       Analyzes the territory potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to Vetrex.

·       Creates and manages detailed and organized files for new and existing customers, highlighting opportunities and potential.

·       Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory.

·       Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

·       Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.

·       Participates in trade shows and conventions.

·       Prepared to travel daily. Overnight travel will be required periodically.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·             Superior organization and time management

·             Able to multi-task and perform a variety of duties in a timely and efficient manner

·             Able to work well in a close team setting as well as independently

·             Professional and courteous towards team members, clients, and customers

·             Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Field sales experience is an asset

Education or previous experience in a pharmaceutical field or animal care sector

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving

Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, Impact Vet and CRM

Proficiency in using Zoom and Teams virtual meeting platforms

Valid driver’s license required
