Senior Registered Veterinary Technologist

Senior Veterinary Health Technologist – Sevick Veterinary Services, Strathmore Alberta

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our small animal practice as a senior RVT. This is a key leadership role, central to providing high-quality patient care, mentoring team members, and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. The successful candidate will be compensated for their skills, experience, and dedication.

Responsibilities include:
• Patient care in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory work, and nursing support
• Overseeing patient admissions and discharges with clear and professional client communication
• Conveying accurate pet health information and home care instructions under the direction of the veterinarian
• Providing mentorship and guidance to other staff, supporting a collaborative and positive clinic culture
• Maintaining accurate medical records, pharmacy, and inventory systems
• Working closely with the veterinarian to support client and patient care

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Animal Health Technology program with registration (or eligibility) with the Alberta Veterinary Technologist Association (ABVTA)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients and colleagues
• Comfortable handling companion animals of all sizes and temperaments
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to take initiative in a busy practice
